1611: A journal of translation history

1611 is a publication interested in history of translation which has as a goals:

* to cast light on the relevant scenes of the Hispanic world throught: 9th century Arabic translations, 10th century Hebrew philological works, Castilian and Catalan versions from the late Middle Ages, controversial documents and precise and poetic translations of their day.

* to assist in the task of retrieving and disseminating as much as possible of that extraordinary cultural memory (texts which have been lost, censored, destroyed, confiscated, burned, hidden, never printed, stolen or forgotten, etc).
