The Research Group on Criminal Law and New Trends in Criminal Policy has been working together since the early 1990s. Since its inception it has focused its research on the analysis of new trends in criminal law and contemporary criminal policy, which has allowed it to be a reference in topics such as crimes against public administration and the fight against corruption; the criminal law of risk and technological crime; the security criminal law and the small recidivist crime or serious sexual delinquency; the prevention and punishment of economic crime; as well as the influence of the media in political-criminal decision-making. The specialization of its members has also allowed it to be part of the teaching staff of specialized master’s and postgraduate courses of national and international scope. The group has also developed an important task of expert advice in national and foreign organizations. |
