The path of Desistance and Reentry Policies research group initiates in 1995 with an interuniversity nature under the name “Criminology applied to Penology” (UAB-UPF-UdG), obtaining an important national and international projection with a series of collective publications of reference in the field of penology. Since 2013 the group establishes exclusively in Autonomous University of Barcelona, and in the year 2014 was recognised as an emergent research group by the Generality of Catalonia (2014-SGR-1481). Main research of the group focuses on desistance from delinquency, referred to the causal process that brings a person to cease from offending: know how subjective (cognitive change) and intersubjective factors (ties and social support) interact to promote this process of desistance from crime. Relevance of this research focuses on the policy implications that pursue the objective of promoting desistance of the people released from prison. Aims of the group is that this research can be used to match policy and intervention, with a strong vocation of collaboration between penal and justice administration and organisations that carry out this penal policy as a response to delinquency. * Articles * Books and book chapters * Working papers * Doctoral theses * Contributions to congresses |
