PACTE (Process of Acquisition of Translation Competence and Evaluation) is a consolidated research group that was created in 1997 with the aim of investigating translation competence and its acquisition. The ultimate aim of the Group is to improve curriculum design in translator training programmes, in particular with regard to competence design, progression, and assessment.
